Written after a Meth OD night out, back at drummer Steph's bedsit, Rob came up with inverting the Three Steps To Heaven idea of you meet a girl and fall in love, you kiss and hold her tightly, etc. To me that chimed with the idea of love as being already in you and you find the most appropriate person to hook it up with, pour it into. Saving all my love for you, give you all of my love, etc. Meth OD recorded the song but that version remained unreleased.
..Undeniably catchy, well paced and generally happy Moller’s gentle melodies and pretty pop tunes could become a favourite with indie fans, and they are easily good enough to justify this… Daniel Creasey, Pennyblackmusic
The exquisitely crafted First You Fall In Love that hazily beams with an alarmingly hip swinging British pop psychedelia mentality rather than the usual West Coast vibe that seems to be happening these days and blessed with a catchy as hell late 60’s summer tang a la Traffic/ Spencer Davis Group (Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush) and replete with enough sultry sun baked keys as to have the most ardent retro aficionado cooing in delight. lyrics
You wake up, you work out a dream of ev’rything
Go back home, go back home & dream of ev’rything
She walk by, you get high – it’s over
Nothing to do with you, nothing to do with you
Nothing to do with you Do do do do do do do
Chorus: First you fall in love then you find a girl
Then you find a girl you’re dreaming you’re dreaming you’re dreaming
You’re dreaming of
Time for tea and complete concentration
Time for she and such sweet contemplation
Then you wake up to find that she has moved on
Nothing to do this time, nothing to do this time
Can’t you make up your mind what to do do do do do do do
(Chorus)
